We don't expect high positions to push themselves to crazy degrees, but we do expect that effort be put into maintaining a clan, as it is the primary role of high positions in a clan to keep it running. When high positions don't do that, then clans start to fall inactive or become unenjoyable. High positions are the frontlines to making sure that doesn't happen, however its not just all of them, mods and admins are also here to help, plotting out ideas for clans and working with the high positions of clans to make things run smoothly.
All approved mods and high positions will be sent a private invite to the staff Discord group.
We like to see around 3-5 posts a week as a minimum in open threads. However posting isn't a good measure by itself, a lot of high positions should be focused on interacting with the clan, being around, helping the leader with plots, jumping in whenever to build relationships with other characters.
For Medicine cats and Medicine cat apprentices 2-4 posts per week is our ideal minimum. Again, this only counts for open threads, and posting itself isn't what we go by. If you can't post tons, but when you do its interacting and helping the clan, then that is perfectly fine. However posting a ton and not actually interacting or only posting in private threads to further personal plots (ie; not if someone has a private thread asking the high position about something clan-based like patrols) is not what we are looking for.
Now, private threads are perfectly fine, however, a balance needs to be met. If your character exists only within private threads please remember that no one else will be seeing them around. For all anyone else knows they just don't exist to anyone who is not in those private threads. Private threads can be useful in building relationships between clanmates though, and that is encouraged, but balance is needed.
When a high position isn't around, or even if they are posted with but don't interact with anyone it can cause characters to feel no attachment to the leadership of a clan and especially in the case of leaders and deputies can cause people OOCly to not want to rp in a clan. Because they don't feel like their cats are being responded to or in general feel left out or excluded even if that's not what the intent was.

- Have at least three months of activity on the website and be an active participant in open threads. (Private threads do not count)
- Must be 16 years or older. Proof of your age in the form of a drivers license or government ID is required. We do not want children to moderate children, to avoid any inappropriate behavior in the future. (Send proof to Stormy or Sif on Discord. Your information is 100% confidential and pictures will be deleted after approval)
- Must not have broken any rules during your time on the site.

You're not expected to do everything on this list every day, its more of an as-needed basis ad if something needs done, go ahead and do it as long as its a timely manner. So if you see a joining thread with no replies, feel free to just jump in there.
Staff checks the stats of the clans and high positions every week so we can track progress or patterns that need to be improved on. We will take that information and if something needs fixing we'll let you know.
Staff will typically give a warning before demotion. If you get a warning, it means that we're giving you a week or so to pick things up. However there are some circumstances where we will demote on the spot such as: In cases of harassment or bullying OR if you leave/have been gone for months. Typically the latter we'd have sent out a warning already but if we can't get ahold of you, then we just can't but we will make an attempt to contact you.
However the former is not just a rule break but also damaging to the site, and its just not very nice.
You will get warnings/staff insights to clan stats via PM so everything is well documented, however if you want to discuss it further you can reach out to a staff member via discord.
At the end of the day, we don't expect you to be posting 50 times a week and typing until your fingers bleed. We simply expect the clans to keep running, and for high positions to make a presence in their respective clans. If you need help with your clan, or if you aren't sure about something, feel free to ask.

- Replying to cats joining the clan.
- Creating open threads if there is a shortage of them.
- Posting in the Gathering (or MC meetings)
- Pushing forward clan wide plots
- Replying to threads that are required (ie; someone needs a healer)
- OOCly answering questions about the clan, helping others settle.
- Making sure open threads are replied to on a timely manner, either by encouraging others to post in that thread or posting yourself.
- Disappeared for a month without a single post or notice. (Automatic demotion)
- Only posting in private threads and not interacting with the clan.
- Rude/rulebreaking behavior OOCly (bullying members, harassing them, etc will cause staff to remove you from any sort of position of power that you can use to harm other members)
- More of an addition of the above but ignoring specific members, excluding people and only posting with your friends. You don't have to like everyone, but you have to be civil and get along. IC and OOC are separate matters at the end of the day.

We don't expect you or anyone else to put the site over your real life responsibilities. However, we do need to keep the site running. We understand that some circumstances are out of your hands and we do not blame anyone for whatever matters come up IRL, but the site needs to keep going.
So with that said, high positions who will be away for a few days are encouraged to post in lounge.
You can also let your leader know if you'd like, however posting a notice is not an automatic guarantee that your high position will not be demoted, each case will be looked at differently. If you were not active prior to your notice will be a factor, as well as how long you plan on being gone. If you cannot be on the site for a month unless a temp or other plans are made with the leader, your high position may be demoted. Even if you have a temp, if that temp isn't active we will warn them and give them a chance to improve but in the end we need to keep the clans running and high positions are a vital role in that.
Communication is key. Talk to your leader, talk to your staff. If you really can't get on for a week or two lets make a reason for that so it's not just your character disappearing. Perhaps they got sent on a mission to StarClan, or got captured by an enemy. We can turn their absence into a plot that when you return can be plot for the clan.

- If a leader or medicine cat is gone the deputy or medicine cat apprentice will take on the role of their superior, they will be able to run the clan but are restricted from making any major changes until 1 month has passed. (If something needs urgent attention let the staff know and we'll let you know how to proceed) After 1 month if the leader/MC has not posted the deputy/MCA will be promoted.
- Someone who posts up a notice and still makes a few posts (Ie: Hey guys I'm sick, may not post as much but still post every now and then) would not be included in the above. It would be strictly for zero posts. However as previously mentioned, a lot of factors go into demotion and if you were not active prior to your notice you can still be demoted.
- A high position who is consistently gone (Ie: does not post for 3-5 weeks, makes some posts and goes missing for 3-5 weeks repetitively), would not be considered active and would be warned. If the issue continues, that high position will be demoted.
