Part I The Great Owl of Autumn As I'm sure you are aware  our territory used to be barren; desolate of any foliage for prey to hide in. Our trees had became sickly with an unknown illness that paralyzed our forest and threatened us with extinction.  When Autumnstar visited our clan he gave us the gift of life. With every tree his massive paws touched, the leaves that once covered the ground flew back up into the trees. With a booming roar, he declared that our poor clan would never again experience the terrible trials and tribulations of leaf-fall again.  But this was not the only gift Autumnstar gave us.  Autumnstar was the first to contact the Great Owl, creating a relationship between our clan and the owls that roam the skies that would never be broken.  He was the first to give the owls a chance. At one point the owls and our clan used to fight, constantly attacking the other as we competed for prey and resources. It was a terrible time for our clan, but he bridged the gap between our worlds.  Initially the owls would not listen, our kind too different from theirs and full of previous hostilities for them to listen to reason. Autumnstar chose to bide his time for the right opportunity, waiting for one to present itself. Eventually a fox invaded their territory, and Autumnstar decided to wait until it caused a problem for the Owls to show them his loyalty to them and how the cats could be useful for them. Autumnstar had followed the fox day and night for days just waiting for it to eventually cause an issue, and alas it did. The fox attacked the nest of the largest owl in the forest in the early morning just before the owls finished their nightly hunt.  With a ferocious roar, Autumnstar barreled up the trunk of the tree with no hesitation straight into the flank of the fox.  He wrestled with the fox for what felt like ages, fiercely ripping wounds across its mangy pelt. As soon as he heard the flapping of wings and soft screeches of the owls he dealt his final blow, sending the fox running into the brush.  Our leader then told his tale to the head owl, who thanked Autumnstar graciously for saving his owlets. Autumnstar pleaded for them to reconsider our alliance, and after a while of discussion amongst themselves agreed. He taught us to rely on one another. Instead of dividing us, we combined to conquer the forest. Now we leave prey that we hunt in the early mornings and afternoons in the fresh kill pile for the owls and us alike to share. The owls hunt and replenish our prey at night and keep watch for our clan while we sleep.  They nest in the trees above our clan and we provide protection for their owlets while they hunt at night from foxes and other predators. With the owls by our side, no clan will ever threaten the greatness of AutumnClan again.

[attr="class","basicbox2"] AutumnClan lacks a specific religion, and is more lax in their beliefs than any other clan. Many of the clan believe in StarClan, others believe in nothing at all. Tolerance and patience is a virtue often necessary for a cat to thrive within this clan; closed-minded thinking does not have a place within this clan.  Even Autumnstar himself taught the cats a new way of living completely foreign to them with the introduction of their symbiotic relationship with the owls. It would be disrespectful to the very name of AutumnClan to reject other ways of life just because they are different from your own.  AutumnClan greatly respect those who have passed, even the owls they come to know along the way. Disrespecting the dead is not a common nor accepted practice within AutumnClan. [attr="class","basicbox2"] Within AutumnClan exists a variety of traditions, ranging from secret training methods to stories of old that protect the clan from various threats.  After all, a clan of such strength is something to celebrate.  Novices and Apprentices At the age of 6 moons, kits will become novices within this clan. Novices are a special title given for those who haven't quite grown enough to access other parts of the forest. They train in preparation of the Sky Rite, a ceremonial ritual in which a cat will leap across the Skylight Gorge for the first time. While not teaching important skills like hunting, these cats learn valuable AutumnClan information like how to climb trees, secure themselves during windy days, communicate with the owls who cannot speak to cats, etc.  This role was created after the death of Crescentpaw, a cat forced by her mentor to leap the gorge too early. Her legs were too small and weak, and unfortunately she did not survive the jump. After banishing her mentor from the clan, Falconstar decreed that all cats must go through proper training for several moons before they are to even attempt the Sky Rite.  Sky Rite Due to the massive gorges within the clan, younger apprentices will find it much harder to navigate the tricky terrain. Until they are old enough for their legs to be long enough to let them "fly", cats are not allowed to cross the gorges even on fallen trees due to their typical instability.  The minimum age for attempting the Sky Rite is 8 moons, however if a cat is to perish due to the negligence of their mentor said cat will never be allowed to mentor again and may potentially face exile if it is found to have been done out of malice. Owls  Owls live amongst the clan, nesting in the trees directly above their camp. I M P O R T A N T    N O T E S

(Please read before attempting to make a cat, as there are unique rules and guidelines for every clan.) 

1. Appearances...)	Cats in Autumnclan typically have darker, leaf-colored  pelts that blend in well with their environment. They  typically have medium-length pelts due to the heat and  humidity being a bit higher in AutumnClan, as well as  longer legs than most clans for jumping and agility.  Cats with white or other colored pelts generally don't perform well in this clan due to the nature of its hunting.  AutumnClan rarely if ever receives snow, so cats with  white pelts lose the advantage of winter storms to make up for their lack of camouflague during the summers.
2. Migration and Backstories...)	AutumnClan is one of the more accepting clans towards migration. Cats from AutumnClan are not generally seen as property of the clan, but rather their own individuals. AutumnClan is unthreatened by the idea of cats telling  their secrets due to their defensive security in their  gorges protecting them from the other clans in terms of threats.  Cats of all backstories are usually welcomed in the clan, however keep in mind that cats who lack patience and  wisdom will not find many friends in this clan.  Open-mindedness is a very important quality in this clan, and is a common moral taught to kits. If your cat is  closed-minded or impatient, you'll need to describe how  they became this way and how it affected them in their  history.
3. Internal Plot Devices...)	As of current, there is a major conflict brewing within  AutumnClan. Kits as of late have been going missing, and many broken-hearteded queens have began blaming the  disappearances upon the owls. On the front of the owls, many owlets as of late have  been going missing without a trace as well.  Patience is a virtue only afforded to those who do not  threaten the existence of others.
